Molly Rychener
Head Teacher, Latin Teacher and 7th Grade Teacher
Molly Rychener graduated from Bellevue High School and went on to complete a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work from Bowling Green State University. Working as a veterinary technician filled the years before her daughters were born. Mrs. Rychener and her husband of 15 years lived in Boulder, Colorado for a few years before returning to the midwest to raise their family- 2 beautiful girls who attend the school. She serves as Trinity’s Head Teacher as well as running the Latin program. She has a passion for good literature, loves teaching Latin, and in her free time enjoys training her dogs. She says that Trinity is more than a good school; it offers an education for a lifetime!
Mrs. Pat Miller
5th & 6th Grade Teacher
Pat Miller was born and raised in Huron County, OH. She graduated from Monroeville High School in 1968 and Morehead State University in 1972 with a bachelor’s degree in elementary education K-8, and a minor in library science. After teaching 2nd grade for three years at New London Public Schools, she spent 16 years at home to be a full-time mom and homemaker. Pat and her husband, Tom, whom she married in 1972, have three grown children, two daughters and one son. Upon returning to teaching, Pat worked for Erie-Huron-Ottowa Educational Service Center as a preschool teacher for 13 years while taking classes through Ashland University to obtain preschool validation on her teaching license. Pat joined Trinity Christian Academy in the fall of 2003 when it was founded. Pat states, “The Biblical foundation on which TCA is built, taught through classical methods, gives the students the tools they need to be life-long learners equipped to serve where God leads.”
Miss Tonya Horner
3rd & 4th Grade Teacher
Tonya Horner graduated from Vermilion High in 1997 and received an Elementary Education Degree from Ashland University in 2003. In October of 2004, she joined TCA as their 1st grade teacher. Since that time she has taught Kindergarten, 1st, 7th, 8th, and now 3rd and 4th grades. During the past ten years she has also served the Lord leading children’s and youth ministries. Tonya, following a call on her life for ministry, took a year (well almost) off as she is pursuing a pastor’s license through the Foursquare Church. Her life verse is Philippians 4:13: “I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me.”
Mrs. Renae Alexander
1st & 2nd Grade Teacher
Ranae Alexander is a 1980 graduate from Edison High School. Upon graduation she married her H.S. sweetheart (Dan Alexander) and was a stay-at-home mommy of two boys in Lynchburg, Va. In 1990 a new school was being formed. New Covenant was/is a Christ-Centered, Classical School that is based on the conviction that parents are to be the primary educators of their child; not the government. Based upon this philosophy Mrs. Alexander was given the opportunity to co-teach the First Grade at N.C.S. this led to a full time teaching position for the next four years. God blessed her family in 1996 with a baby girl. Upon returning to the work force in 2004, Mrs. Alexander joined our staff here at TCA and is currently teaching first and second grade- and loving every…well, almost every minute of it!
Mrs. Melinda Crawford
Kindergarten Teacher
Melinda Crawford was born and raised in Monaus, Brazil. Her parents have been missionaries there for over 50 years. In 1991 she graduated from Clearwater Christian College with an Associates degree in Early Childhood Education. From 1991-1995 she worked at NAS Jacksonville, Florida Child Development Center and then at NAS Fallon, Nevada. Her goal of being in Christian education was realized in 2003 when she was hired at TCA. She and Robert, her husband of eighteen years, have three children.
Mrs. Ellyn Vandergoot
Art Teacher and 1st & 2nd Grade Math Teacher
Ellyn Vandergoot graduated high school in northern New Jersey and went on to earn a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Interior Design from The College of New Jersey. She spent the next five years working as a project designer for various furniture dealerships as her husband (now of 11 years) moved her from New Jersey to Virginia, Tennessee, Minnesota and now Ohio. Currently Ellyn stays busy raising three children (one current and two future TCA students) and teaching the Art Class at TCA during two quarters of the school year. “I’m excited that my daughter loves going to school at TCA and am fully confident in the academic education and biblical world view training she is receiving.”
Miss Erika Miller
Physical Education / Health & Science Teacher
Erika Miller was born and raised in Huron County. She graduated from Willard High School in 1993 and went on to attend Cedarville College (now University) and play collegiate softball. She graduated with a comprehensive (K-12) Physical Education degree in 1997. After graduation she taught Phys. Ed./Health/Music at St. Patrick’s School in London, Ohio for three years. Following that she taught Phys. Ed./Health/Bible/Music at Madison-Clark Christian Academy for five years and was the Athletic Director for three years. She now enjoys teaching part time at Trinity, working part time for Cedarbrook Camp of Ohio, and helping full time on the farm with her family. “Teaching at Trinity is a breath of fresh air. The atmosphere is so conducive to learning and growing. It’s a great place to be!”
Mrs. Mikki Ehrenberg
7th and 8th Grade Teacher
Mikki Ehrenberg graduated as valedictorian from Southwest Christian School in 1993. She then studied Children’s Ministries at North Central Bible College in Minnesota. It was there that she met her husband, moved back to Ohio, and started a family. For the next eight years she was a full-time mom who opened her home to other children as a daycare provider. Mikki began volunteering at TCA when her oldest started kindergarten in 2005. She and her husband, Jason, now have two boys and a daughter attending TCA. Mikki loves to help out where needed. Her current duties include teaching 7th and 8th grade, administration, and loving the students of TCA.
